Eliminating Downtime with Industrial IoT
The ovens take about an hour to reach working temperature, so operators lost the first hour of every shift waiting. When an oven drifted out of range the conveyor stopped automatically, and with no alerting it took an operator about 1.5 hours on average to notice.
An IoT mobile application, proven first as a POC in late 2022, on one baking oven and one drying oven. Operators start and stop the ovens remotely so they are at temperature when the shift arrives, see live status and history, and get an alert on any drift.
